Commission Members

Joseph Angelino was elected to the New York State Assembly on November 3, 2020. His district is comprised of parts of Broome, Chenango, Delaware, Madison, Otsego and Sullivan counties.

As an Assemblyman, Joseph works to protect the interests of New York’s incredible law enforcement agents, ensure veterans have every opportunity to thrive upon returning from service, and fight for the state’s struggling middle class.

John M. Brickman, head of the litigation group at Ackerman, Levine, Cullen, Brickman & Limmer, LLP, of Great Neck, New York, practices primarily in the areas of commercial litigation and trusts and estates disputes.

Peter V. Coffey, having practiced law for almost 60 years, is currently semi-retired.  Upon graduation from Albany Law School, where he was a member of law review, Mr. Coffey served as confidential law clerk to Supreme Court Justice Robert O. Brink.   

Ellen Holtzman is a Rockland County attorney who has dedicated her legal practice to family and matrimonial law at the Law Office of Ellen B. Holtzman since 1989. Based in Rockland’s county seat, New City, she has established an impressive record of results throughout New York State in the Family Courts, Supreme Courts, and the Appellate Division and is well known for representing both men and women in complex matrimonial and child custody cases.

Senator Andrew J. Lanza was elected to represent Staten Island’s 24th New York State Senate District on November 7, 2006. As a former New York City Council member, prosecutor, accountant and business owner, Senator Lanza brings extensive public and private experience to the Senate.

Anne E. McCaffrey is the President and CEO of People Inc. She was formerly the President and CEO of Eastern Niagara Hospital in Lockport and also previously served as the 57th Mayor of the City of Lockport.

McCaffrey received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science with a Minor in French from Nazareth College of Rochester and went on to obtain a Master of Science Degree in Public Policy Analysis from the University of Rochester, with a concentration in health policy.
